Design en data science gaan niet altijd samen. Daarom ben ik blij als ik voor een klant heel ver mag gaan met design. De vraag was een zo strak en indrukwekkend design neer te zetten, in een data-driven tool.
Onder de motorkap zaten de algoritmes, maar in de praktijk is het een HR Analytics tool. Eentje waarmee je heel snel inzichten uit je organisatiedata haalt. Niet alleen over de huidige stand van zaken maar ook met voorspellende inzichten in verloop, kritische functies en spreiding van generaties over je populatie. De UX voelt aan als een app, of een website. Menu structuur, interactieve filters en klikbare data.
Tableau meets design. Het kan echt. Een data-driven tool bouwen met algoritmes zonder compromissen in het design. Trots op deze mijlpaal!
Landed another exciting new project today, with a large international shop. We'll be setting up Magento BI to scan the shop data, check the data quality and get some first reports of course. Later we will create advanced analytics for customer segmentation and forecasting for stock. Finally we will create self-servicing BI (Business Intelligence) by tools that users can drill down into the data and by hands-on training of the tools.

Last week the epic Magento Imagine 2017 conference was held in Las Vegas. On April 5th the final keynote was scheduled and new products were announced that a lot of people were waiting for. Next to the Digital Commerce, Marketplace, and Order Management offerings, there is a new vertical named Magento Business Intelligence - which is the rebranded RJ Metrics acquired in 2016.
The other big news from a BI perspective was the announcement of Magento Social - which to my knowledge is an acquisition that was already being integrated into RJ Metrics at the time. This sits very well alongside insights from the BI product, to target the right segments with the right offerings!
