Landed another exciting new project today, with a large international shop. We'll be setting up Magento BI to scan the shop data, check the data quality and get some first reports of course. Later we will create advanced analytics for customer segmentation and forecasting for stock. Finally we will create self-servicing BI (Business Intelligence) by tools that users can drill down into the data and by hands-on training of the tools.
Last week the epic Magento Imagine 2017 conference was held in Las Vegas. On April 5th the final keynote was scheduled and new products were announced that a lot of people were waiting for. Next to the Digital Commerce, Marketplace, and Order Management offerings, there is a new vertical named Magento Business Intelligence - which is the rebranded RJ Metrics acquired in 2016.
The other big news from a BI perspective was the announcement of Magento Social - which to my knowledge is an acquisition that was already being integrated into RJ Metrics at the time. This sits very well alongside insights from the BI product, to target the right segments with the right offerings!
